The International Bank of Religions is still under the control of the liquidator.
After 18 years from the opening of the bankruptcy procedure, the BIR operates
and continues to collect claims.

Moreover, as of July 10 2000 - the date of bankruptcy initiation- the BIR
functioned as a bank, without attracting sources or granting loans.
The Report of the Banking Deposit Guarantee Fund for 2016 states that until

December 31 2015, out of the total assets of ROL 2.130 billion, there was
collected the amount of ROL 1,740 billion, from which the liquidator had spent
the amount of ROL 800 billion, representing his own fees, salaries, performance
bonuses, other liquidation expenses.
It should be noted, however, that during the 18 years since bankruptcy was
declared, the liquidator also granted facilities and discounts on receivables of over
ROL 300 billion.
The same FGDB Report mentions that during 2014-2015 FGDB recovered
money from a single bank: the International Bank of Religions.
A natural question arises:

How is BIR declared in bankruptcy on July 10 2000 when
it does still work today, in 2018 ???!!!
